Yup things are moving down again! WooHoo! I am wishing I made better choices, but hind vision is 20/20 right. What I will be doing is learning from this...and not doing this again. Ugh! So I started running again on Tuesday. It felt wonderful. No pain in the foot, so I think things are healed up. I also have been riding at the gym. Washington has not decided that it is spring yet. We are having the coldest wettest spring in the record books. Oh well cant control the weather, but I can control me. I have been thinking a lot about what motivates people. I have a friend who says I'm her inspiration. She started WW in December and has lost almost 25lbs. She is amazing! I have another friend who started last year and is doing amazing as well. What is it that makes a person say "Now is the time." I know what it was for me. It was that I was not happy sitting and watching my children any more. They wanted me to chase them, not watch them. I wanted to live longer so someday...maybe I could do amazing things with them as adults as well. I don't want to be sick, or a burden as I get older. Hopefully the choice that I mad, the hurt muscles, the runs, the gym time away from my family makes it so I can be the best me that I can.
It is difficult to get to the gym. Of course I would rather stay home with my kids, or do errands, or clean the house. But it is just as important to take care of me. Make time for me. I used to think I was being selfish, truth is though I have more to give to others when I feel good about me and the choices I've made.
Whatever is holding you back...make the change! Now! Not because its Monday or the weekend, or because the moon has perfectly aligned with the planets. Whatever reason you have, whatever motivation you have. This life is so much better than the one I had watching my children. Now they try to get ahead of me....and most of the time do. I'm going to work on that! :)
While I still don't feel like an inspiration, I do feel amazing when people look at me and realize that if I can do it, clumsy person that I am, they can do it to. And as my friends show me. I still have a lot to learn from them!

Memorial 2011
I've been slacking on the picture taking. This has been a crazy month and is still going strong. We have 78 publishers in our congregation and we have 57 pioneering including 18 regular pioneers. Shannon and I are doing our best to be part of the activity and will finish up our time this weekend. Just in time to get ready for our wonderful trip.
Our Memorial was the late one, it started at 9pm. So we took a few pictures before getting a special treat at Sonic and heading off to bed. We are ready for a break!

Boy Sleepover
Spencer had a sleep over. Yup, we had 5 boys over. I have to say Shannon was the best husband/papa ever. He picked them all up and their bikes. Spent Saturday with them while I went out with a friend and took all of them to meeting without me as I was sick. He was incredible! The boys were pretty awesome as well. They got about 4 hours of sleep, but had a great time!
(Pictures were difficult this weekend, this is the best of them all. Shannon is not a picture taker!)

Field Trip
We went on a field trip to the zoo this week. It was a fun trip we got there and then we all went in our own direction. I loved it we went as fast or slow as the kids wanted. One of my monkeys mom works at the zoo, so he knew some of the names and secrets of the zoo. Kind of fun. She met up with us at lunch and gave my group a tour of the refrigeration section of the zoo. I had great kids, only one wanderer, and it was nice to spend the day with my girl! :)
Where have I been?
I've been off the grid for a while. I have been playing with my family, working on the house and trying to get back in the game. This winter was difficult. I'm not really sure why. Usually the weather doesn't get to me, but this year it was so cold and wet that I felt like hibernating. So hibernate I did. I will tell you that was a poor decision for weightbegone. It actually meant weight go up, by 7lbs. Yup, bad idea to get wrapped up in life again and not make myself a priority. The good news is that I am back on track. I was killing myself by wanting perfection, so when I wasn't there I said "oh well, screw it!", I finally caught that attitude and stuffed it somewhere that I wont be accessing anytime soon and decided that one pound at a time is what I need to focus on. I need to be happy with what I am doing and work on that, rather than the unrealistic view of perfection. So one pound at a time means two weeks in a row, I have lost. It means that this month is going to be busy. I am going to be out in the ministry a lot, I have a house to clean, Laundry to do, a trip to prepare for and yes a 5k or 10k to prepare for in June. Yes, I am going to run the Sound to Narrows this year....I am undecided as to how far I want to do. I will have an answer by this weekend, so stay tuned.....
I have not been taking a lot of pictures lately, again I'm not really sure why. Here is one from last month. Yes I am all bundled up, however I plan to post at least one of me each month to show my exercise progression. I have decided that even if the pounds don't melt off, I will have a toner body by my trip.
My support group, including Shannon who is taking the picture. :)

Pt Defiance Hike
I have lived here for as long as I can remember and have never really investigated the trails in Pt Defiance. We were all under the weather this last weekend but a little stir crazy so we hit the outdoors for a little mud walk.
We all had a blast tromping through the mud and moss. Im thinking I need to find a trail run for the kids, they were having a blast running in the muck. It was a day that makes me appreciate where I live and my family even more...
