Kindergarten Grad

Audrey is officially done with Kindergarten.(well technically she has 3 more days left). Here are some highlights of Graduation.

Audrey had the Best Kindergarten teacher ever. She is patient and teaches out of the box. Which is perfect for my little girl. Audrey has grown so much this year. She has gone from little girl to big girl in just a few months. I love it that she brings me books to read to me, and if she gets stuck, she pushes through. She is amazing!

Biz Town

Well the school year is wrapping up for one and Elementary school is wrapping up for the other. Spencer had his last field trip last Friday. He went to JA Biz Town. It is a really neat field trip. The kids start the day with a checkbook, a job and deposit slips. They are assigned by the teachers what jobs they get and try to make sure the business has earned a profit by the end of the day. Companies such as Staples, State Farm, The Mariners and others have donated to the program and have store fronts for the business and if it is retail, donate items for the kids to buy with their Biz Town Paycheck. Spencer was a CFO for State Farm. He did a great job writing out the bills and paychecks for his group. I was at Staples with a group of girls so I didn't get too many pictures of Spencer. (As a volunteer, I had to go to training last month and then couldn't work in the same store as my child, as they want the kids to do everything on their own.) It was an awesome experience. The kids were exhausted at the end of the day, and they were a more appreciative of what it is like to have to work and maintain a life full of bills.

Pirate Day

Spencer was Pirate for a day. The makeup artist did a great job! It was kind of scary to see our son with a beard. :) It was a hot day at Magic Kingdom.

Bibbity Bobbity Botique

The girls had a special Princess day. Audrey was Princess Jasmine and Ava Princess Tianna. The girls felt so special!

We went to Epcot afterwards and had lunch with the Princesses. Snow White, Belle, Cinderella and Princess Aurora all cam out to say hi.

Disney Vacation

The big reveal went incredible. Audrey and Ava were surprised to find out that they were going for a big trip! Katie got some amazing cupcakes and we watched pictures from our last Disney trip and in the end Grandma and Grandpa told them to pack their bags. I took a while, but once they realized we were leaving in two hours, there was no stopping them!
We spent some time at Downtown Disney last night, went to bed and got up at 5:30am to start our Breakfast with Mickey at 7. I will never forget Audrey looking up at me and saying " This is sooo much fun! Mommy!" She had such a big smile. That was even before we arrived at the park. Here are just a few more smiles!

Still Pushing

Yup things are moving down again! WooHoo! I am wishing I made better choices, but hind vision is 20/20 right. What I will be doing is learning from this...and not doing this again. Ugh! So I started running again on Tuesday. It  felt wonderful. No pain in the foot, so I think things are healed up. I also have been riding at the gym. Washington has not decided that it is spring yet. We are having the coldest wettest spring in the record books. Oh well cant control the weather, but I can control me. I have been thinking a lot about what motivates people. I have a friend who says I'm her inspiration. She started WW in December and has lost almost 25lbs. She is amazing! I have another friend who started last year and is doing amazing as well. What is it that makes a person say "Now is the time." I know what it was for me. It was that I was not happy sitting and watching my children any more. They wanted me to chase them, not watch them. I wanted to live longer so someday...maybe I could do amazing things with them as adults as well. I don't want to be sick, or a burden as I get older. Hopefully the choice that I mad, the hurt muscles, the runs, the gym time away from my family makes it so I can be the best me that I can.
 It is difficult to get to the gym. Of course I would rather stay home with my kids, or do errands, or clean the house. But it is just as important to take care of me. Make time for me. I used to think I was being selfish, truth is though I have more to give to others when I feel good about me and the choices I've made.
 Whatever is holding you back...make the change! Now! Not because its Monday or the weekend, or because the moon has perfectly aligned with the planets. Whatever reason you have, whatever motivation you have. This life is so much better than the one I had watching my children. Now they try to get ahead of me....and most of the time do. I'm going to work on that! :)
While I still don't feel like an inspiration, I do feel amazing when people look at me and realize that if I can do it, clumsy person that I am, they can do it to. And as my friends show me. I still have a lot to learn from them!

Memorial 2011

I've been slacking on the picture taking. This has been a crazy month and is still going strong. We have 78 publishers in our congregation and we have 57 pioneering including 18 regular pioneers. Shannon and I are doing our best to be part of the activity and will finish up our time this weekend. Just in time to get ready for our wonderful trip.
Our Memorial was the late one, it started at 9pm. So we took a few pictures before getting a special treat at Sonic and heading off to bed. We are ready for a break!
