I am trying to post a little more often than I used to. I know it does not seem like it. I woke up this morning and went to the gym, yup I was at the gym at 5:45. Fridays are the day I wake up early, clean the house and if I have time go work out or go for a run if I have time. What I usually do is wake up, get on the computer, drink my coffee , look at the clock and realize I have wasted my workout time on the computer and proceed to clean house, just in time for my niece to arrive and then play with her and Audrey until nap time. This morning I skipped the computer and LOVED my morning. I always feel so good when I go and get sweaty. (Note: I think I am becoming addicted to sweat....)
I have been thinking a lot this week about pushing. Why is it so hard to push yourself. Why when I am running do I talk myself into walking? When I first started it was because I couldn't breath, or my legs wouldn't work. Now I have decided it is routine, routine says...there is a hill up ahead, you always stop so when you get there you can walk......routine says....it is Saturday, you have done well all week, you can now eat what you want for today only....routine says on Friday morning....wake up, make mocha, read email, work out(if time permits) and clean house.... I have decided not to let routine prevent me from pushing myself. It is time to change my routine. Change.....(
eewww I hate that word) without change, we stay the same. Change doesn't kill, it improves. Change , it moves us forward, it makes us better because when we since a need for change we are telling ourselves that there is more for us, more possibilities, more happiness, and more
opportunities. I am in need of change. I heard this week something that I will never forget.
" If your not failing, you are not trying hard enough!" Jillian
Michaels I have had a hard time running since I registered for the Half Marathon. I'm thinking once I start training, I
don't get to stop. I was thinking this week that I am over my head that I cant do this.....thing is that is the old me.......
Time for Change!
