12 Weeks

12 week project started this week. What is my 12 week project? At the end there is a goal, I'll share later. So as you probably have surmised, by the lack of posts, I am still struggling. Poor choices, poor weather and and inability to decide what I want to do. I have been fighting and fighting with myself about what is going on and what I need to change. Well I came up with three things.
1. I need to to things differently. What do I mean by that? First off I need to cool my heals and relax a little about life. I cant control others, I cant always control my situation and I cant control what other people do and choices that they make. I don't think of myself as a controlling person. I do however want to fix things. Yup, Im a fixer. I want my family to talk to each other. I want my friends and family to be happy all the time. I want to be there for people if they need me. I try, but than I get sad when they don't want to fix things. So Im gonna try to fix less things.
2. Im gonna do some things the same. I read my own blog the other day, and realize I got away from what I was doing. I was proud of my accomplishments and then I got mopey. Woe is me. So Im getting back to the basics and focusing more on goals and less on mopeyness (is that a word?) Better eating, more exercise pictures and less.. " I dont know what to do"....I do know what to do. I chose to do differently.
3. Im gonna set new goals. Some fitness, some physical and some mental.  When I look at the picture below, I realize what exercise does. I am not heavier than I was for my half, i am actually the same. However, I am flabbier and unhappy with my appearance. So my goal at the gym is to have wobbly legs and arms that are heavy. My goal for home is to leave the sugar alone and find other things to do to fill in the sugar hole. Im gonna take better care of my skin and nails (yes one more year till 40). And Im gonna make my feelings important again.
My 12 week project has started. At the end of 12 weeks I will be doing a run. I wanted to be doing it in California with my Brother (no not the marathon, but 5k), but do to money, and the lack of it. I will have to do in the rain here in wonderful Washington. The NW Trek run. Is in my future. I will be registering next
payday, so here I go. running, talking and sharing progress.

Snake Lake Park

I think we finally hit above 75degrees yesterday. Ava spent the night with us on Friday so on Saturday I promised we would go to the park. Ava has been here multiple times. She was eager to show Spencer and Audrey around her stomping grounds. She was an excellent navigator! Audrey taught her a few climbing tricks and Spencer enjoyed some climbing as well!

The weather did cooperate today! We got to have our yearly picnic. The kids look forward to it every year. Audrey has been disappointed that we have had to eat inside!

District Convention Days 1 and 2

Its that time of the year again. This years program has been amazing as always. Each year I seem to get more and more out of it. The kids have been fantastic! and I have no injuries to report. The weather has not been so great so we have been eating at our seats. Today looks fantastic so maybe more pictures today. I wont spoil it for those that haven't been yet, but 3 Dramas! Wow!

The next one is from Day 2. Shannon is in charge of cleaning our Congregation area, so we have been sitting there. They have opened the upper section by the stage and that is where we are. Awesome sound and right above the stage and baptism pool. Blankets have been necessary for our rear ends :) but the kids love it up there!

5th Grade Grad

Seems like not so long ago I was taking pictures of  the first day of school, now my 11 year old is a 6th grader. I am quite proud of him. His report card shows improvement in all area's. It has not been an easy year for him. He had a challenging teacher and all the things that go along with being a preteen. I have to say, I have a great son!
All of the 5th graders. 64 over 3 classes.

They were told to wear their Sunday best. Spencer had a difficult time wearing a suit to school. I should have told him Uncle Brian used to do it for fun.:)

The kindergartners were not invited to this assembly, so I had to check Audrey out of class for it. She did not want to miss it. She only missed a half hour of Cars. :)

Kindergarten Grad

Audrey is officially done with Kindergarten.(well technically she has 3 more days left). Here are some highlights of Graduation.

Audrey had the Best Kindergarten teacher ever. She is patient and teaches out of the box. Which is perfect for my little girl. Audrey has grown so much this year. She has gone from little girl to big girl in just a few months. I love it that she brings me books to read to me, and if she gets stuck, she pushes through. She is amazing!

Biz Town

Well the school year is wrapping up for one and Elementary school is wrapping up for the other. Spencer had his last field trip last Friday. He went to JA Biz Town. It is a really neat field trip. The kids start the day with a checkbook, a job and deposit slips. They are assigned by the teachers what jobs they get and try to make sure the business has earned a profit by the end of the day. Companies such as Staples, State Farm, The Mariners and others have donated to the program and have store fronts for the business and if it is retail, donate items for the kids to buy with their Biz Town Paycheck. Spencer was a CFO for State Farm. He did a great job writing out the bills and paychecks for his group. I was at Staples with a group of girls so I didn't get too many pictures of Spencer. (As a volunteer, I had to go to training last month and then couldn't work in the same store as my child, as they want the kids to do everything on their own.) It was an awesome experience. The kids were exhausted at the end of the day, and they were a more appreciative of what it is like to have to work and maintain a life full of bills.
